Job Description

This International Freight Forwarder located in Botany is seeking an experienced Cartage Coordinator to cover a maternity leave contract. In the role you will be responsible for processing deliveries for all airfreight, LCL and FCL shipments. To be considered for this role you must have prior cartage coordinator experience, with an international freight forwarder, in the Australian market. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Delivery co-ordination
  • Checking SCA/ACA and clearance status
  • Interaction with Customs, AQIS, transport companies, unpack depots, clients and internal departments
  • Updating information & POD's in the operating system
  • Ensuring documentation and cargo release information is complete and correct
  • Providing reports on delivery outcomes
Role Requirements:
  • Minimum 12 months' experience in international freight forwarding, preferably in a transport-related capacity
  • Experience with Cargowise EDI or similar operating software
  • Ability to prioritise and time manage
  • Results driven and customer focused
  • Ability to solve problems via a common-sense approach
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail
  • Drive to ensure department KPIs and SOPs are met and adhered to
