Business Development Manager - Airfreight with ref.

This international freight forwarder is searching for an accomplished Business Development Manager to join their professional team and play a key role in driving new business growth into the organisation. In order to be considered for this role you must have international/domestic express/courier and/or international airfreight experience in the Australian market - either in new business sales or operations/customer service and keen to steer your career path in that direction.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Generate and/or action sales leads
Attend sales appointments
Submit quotations
Report on business movement, opportunities, industry trends, competitor activity and past/future sales appointments
Convert new business opportunities into tangible client support

Skills & Experience:

Excellent knowledge of the Australian market in international and domestic airfreight
Demonstrable new business sales experience or appetite to pursue a sales career
Willingness to leverage existing client relationships for mutual benefit
Ability to convert sales leads into new business opportunities
Capacity to develop and maintain strong business relationships
Excellent communication skills - oral and written
High degree of self-motivation and discipline
