Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage warehouse operations - including freight in/out, configuration and operating flow
- Manage transport operations - including in-house (allocation and scheduling) and outsourced vehicles
- Manage staff - including recruitment, mentoring, development, performance and resourcing (24/7 roster) - vs cost/budget/business requirements
- Contribute to compliance obligations - including ABF, Biosecurity and Chain of Responsibility (CoR)
- Contribute to new business development initiatives
- Negotiate relevant supplier contracts
- Reporting - including activity, workflow and safety
- Champion safe, secure and well-maintained physical resources
- Share information with key stakeholders - including management, staff and statutory authorities
- Hands-on warehouse and transport management experience in 77G/QAP environment essential
- Cargowise experience highly desirable
- Demonstrable team leadership experience
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills to ensure outcome delivery
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
- Efficient organisational resource and time management skills
- Professionalism, integrity and the ability to build long-term relationships
