We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established freight forwarding business seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead their Sydney operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role within a structured, systems-driven environment, managing end-to-end operations across air, sea, and road freight (import & export).
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily freight forwarding operations across air, sea, and road
- Manage and lead teams across onshore, offshore, and warehouse functions
- Ensure compliance with Australian import/export regulations
- Drive CargoWise usage, data integrity, and process consistency
- Identify and implement operational improvements and efficiencies
- Work closely with senior leadership on performance and growth initiatives
- Proven experience in freight forwarding operations (air and/or sea)
- Strong understanding of import/export processes within Australia
- CargoWise experience (essential or highly preferred)
- Experience leading teams in an operations environment
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Systems-focused mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
