Key Responsibilities
- First point of contact for client enquiries
- Maintaining client relationships, looking after them operationally
- Purchase order management
- Quotations / rate negotiations
- Updating rates (Autorating)
- Chasing documentation and ensuring correct paperwork is received
- Passing documentation on for customs clearance
- Job registration, Pre-alerts, EDO's, Underbonds
- Monitoring cargo availability, status & check transshipments
- Sea/Air cargo reporting
- Paying charges / Organise EDO's
- Organising local & interstate road & rail movements
- Finalising invoices to clients and overseas agents
- Cargowise EDI and MS Office experience is essential
- Prior Operations and Customer Service experience (at least 3 years) with a freight forwarder in the Australian market would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Time management skills, attention to detail and proficiency
- Ability to apply creativity and problem-solving skills
