Job Description

This international freight forwarding company is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their close-knit team. The ideal candidate will be someone who desires to learn and develop their career in Sales. Previous sales experience is not necessary, you must have good knowledge and experience in operations within the freight forwarding industry. The position entails identifying new business opportunities, new lanes from existing customers and maintaining existing clients.
  
Main responsibilities and duties:
  • Identifying new business opportunities
  • Following up sales leads from overseas offices or through local sources
  • Attending sales appointments
  • Identifying new leads from existing customers
  • Formulate and submit client quotations
  • Prepare reports & planners for sales meetings
Role Requirements:
  • Must have freight forwarding operational experience
  • Prior sales experience preferred but not essential
  • Both English & Mandarin, verbal and written skills required
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • CargoWise experience is an advantage
  • Clear communications and excellent customer service
  • High degree of self-motivation and discipline
  • Drive to ensure sales targets are exceeded
