Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile general ledger and assigned balance sheet accounts
- Manage the monthly close process, ensuring all entries are accurate and completed on time
- Analyse revenue and cost trends, provide reports and actionable recommendations
- Review operational productivity and labor costs
- Prepare monthly financial statements and related account reconciliations
- Perform profit and loss analysis for key clients
- Reconcile and process intercompany account settlements
- Validate trade and non-trade invoices for accurate cost allocation
- Prepare financial reports including forecasts, budgets, variance analysis, and more
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting and tax filing requirements
- Liaise with tax authorities, payroll providers, auditors, banks, and other external partners
- Support internal and external audits
- Assist with bi-weekly payroll and backup support as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years in accounting and financial reporting, bonus if you've previously worked in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain
- CPA or Audit experience is a must
- In-depth understanding of GAAP and SOX compliance
- Proficient in Excel and financial systems (mainframe or web-based)
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities
- Skilled in problem solving and project coordination
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
