Job Description

An opportunity exists for an experienced Import Sea Freight Operator with a Global Freight Forwarder located in Botany.  As the Import Sea Freight Operator, you will be an integral part of the team and accountable for the accurate and timely processing of end to end Import Sea Freight shipments.
Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Job registration
  • Monitoring cargo availability and status
  • Sea cargo automation
  • Organising & lodging underbond movements
  • Finalising invoices to clients and overseas agents
  • Third party billings
  • Monitoring movement of transhipment cargo
  • Collection & handover of delivery orders and EDO's
  • Organising local & interstate road & rail movements 
  • Liaising with shipping lines, freight forwarders, overseas agents, customers, suppliers and internal staff 
Experience Required: 
  • Operational experience within Freight Forwarding environment
  • Computer literacy in MS Word and MS Excel
  • Cargowise experience or similar operating systems

  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
