Job Description

Global Relocations Company located in Sydney’s western suburbs is seeking an import coordinator to join the team. In the role you will be responsible for managing the shipping processes from registration through to delivery. Training is provided however, some experience in international or domestic freight operations is preferred.

Job responsibilities & duties include:
  • Receive documentation, register import documentation and report to customs
  • Monitor shipment arrival and update client accordingly
  • Pay import/carrier charges in line with container release
  • Coordinator pick up of container from wharf
  • Liaise with customers, international departments, overseas offices, shipping lines, freight forwarders, transport companies, customs and quarantine
  • Prepare and create invoices
  • Outturn reports and delivery documents sent to origin offices
Experience & attributes required:
  • Exposure to import procedures
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail and organised
  • Data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
