Duties & Responsibilities:
- Service modern vehicle fleet and trailing equipment including mechanical issue diagnosis
- Ensure vehicle service and preventative maintenance schedules are adhered to
- Supply feedback to support continuous improvement on vehicle servicing, driver error and breakdown reduction
- Tyre monitoring and recording
- Report all service schedule discrepancies
- Maintain clean workshop and surrounding area
- Breakdowns after hours if required (rare to require personal onsite attendance)
- Relevant trade qualifications essential
- MC and forklift licence ideal
- Strong mechanical knowledge of Mack, Volvo and American trailing equipment preferred
- Ability to diagnose hydraulic, air and pneumatic issues
- Ability to follow preventative maintenance procedures and schedules
- Pride to complete tasks (and paperwork) to high standard and seek continuous improvement outcomes
- Ability to work unsupervised while reporting issues that arise
- Communication with mechanics, drivers and managers to build relationships
- Prioritise workloads based on changing customer and business requirements
- Proactive approach with strong teamwork ethic and eye for detail
- Resilient and adaptable mindset with hands-on approach
- Ability to work 11-day fortnight – weekdays and every second Saturday, 10am to 6pm or finish
