Job Description

A well-established and expanding international freight forwarder is currently seeking to add an experienced customer service champion to their professional team. You must have customer service and import operations experience in the local Australian freight forwarding market in order to be considered for this role. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage customer enquiries and resolve identified issues
  • P/O management and origin shipment execution, ie. carrier/buy/sell/profit
  • Shipment tracking
  • Status reporting
  • Formulate quotations
  • Job registration
  • Monitor cargo availability and clearance status
  • Cargo automation
  • Organise and lodge underbond movements
  • Finalise invoices to clients, overseas offices and third parties 
  • Monitor movement of transhipment cargo
  • Collect and handover EDOs
  • Cartage coordination 
  • Liaise with overseas offices, internal departments, service providers and clients 
Role Requirements:
  • Customer service and import operations experience essential
  • Exposure to (or willingness to learn) export operations 
  • Cargowise experience essential
  • Computer literacy in MS Office applications 
  • Attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
  • Excellent communication skills - written and oral
  • Ability to prioritise, follow through and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to team outcomes
  • Customer service focus
