Continuous Improvement / Business Analyst with ref.

International Freight Forwarding is seeking a Continuous Improvement / Business Analyst to work onsite with a major account. The initial period will be a 12-month contract with the view to extend. In the role you will be responsible for implementing and communicating the planning of safe and cost-effective flow of product from overseas supplier to DC.

Duties & responsibilities include:

Develop close working relationship with internal and external customers
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities and projects
Optimise the flow of order volumes at origin ports
Communicate and improve supplier performance
Improve OHS outcomes relating to supply chain processes
Overseas travel, 2-3 times a year to overseas agents

Experience & attributes required:

High level of overall business acumen, organisational agility and financial knowledge
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Strong analytical skills
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
Experience with SAP advantageous but not essential
Detailed knowledge of ABF and DAW requirements for import/export shipments
Extensive knowledge of origin warehouse operations, sea, air, wharf and transport operational processes
Project management skills are desirable
