Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide advice and assistance in all generalist HR functions including recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, industrial relations, performance management, learning and development, employee practices, policies and procedures
- Manage and coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process to ensure the workforce plan is on track for NSW & ACT
- Interpret industrial instruments and partner with managers to provide advice and support with employee relations matters
- Maintain accurate HRIS data and prepare regular reports and statistics
- Coordinate and help manage performance management and disciplinary processes
- Coordinate training and development programs and assist in ad hoc projects as required
- Provide support in relation to workers compensation matters and assist with return-to-work coordination as required
- Work collaboratively with managers and senior staff to understand their business requirements and deliver HR and workforce strategies that will meet long term operational objectives
- Provide effective administration support and prepare employment-related documentation
- Any other duties as may be required from time to time
- A Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Human Resources or equivalent
- Demonstrated human resources generalist experience
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and employee relations matters, legal experience desirable
- Recruitment experience highly regarded
- Highly proficient communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish strong business relationships with key stakeholders
- Highly proficient soft skills such as teamwork, problem solving and flexibility/adaptability
- A positive working attitude, self-motivated and a strong desire to succeed
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment
- Sound judgement, diplomacy, attention to detail and initiative to complete day to day tasks and to meet strict business deadlines
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and to apply discretion and tact at all times
- Advanced computer skills, especially MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Possess Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency with no working right restrictions.
