The Role
This is a newly created role that supports and reports directly into the Logistics Manager. In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of inbound, distribution & outbound/export freight for both AU & NZ regions.
What you'll be doing
Compliance & Trade Operations: Import/Export operations & clearance coordination with daily management of forwarders & brokers; Strong understanding of import and export customs processes & requirements in order to assist with customs queries and support the global trade & compliance teams.
Operational Service Delivery: Plan, execute and adapt plans of inbound deliveries into Distribution Centres or drop ship locations within required timeframes; Weekly stakeholder planning and performance meetings & manage Quarterly Business reviews with forwarders, brokers & service partners
Freight Financial Governance: Weekly, monthly and quarterly freight reconciliation, analysis and forecasting; Annual budget build of inbound freight costs for AU and NZ; Escalation for any potential issues or breaches of SLA’s, freight invoicing or service delivery.

Requirements
Proven experience global trade, logistics or freight forwarding experience with prior management is essential; Exceptional computer skills (Microsoft suite including, Excel, Access Database, PowerPoint and PowerBI); Advanced communication skills to effectively build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels; Excellent analytical and negotiation skills; Ability to lead a team of professionals, operating effectively as part of a team with accountability for business results & A tertiary qualification in global trade compliance, logistics, operations, or business with an emphasis in logistics, management, or related discipline would be highly advantageous.
