To be an eligible candidate you must have previous experience in either operations or customer service within a freight forwarding environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Generation of customer quotations
- P/O management & status reporting
- Liaising with overseas agents for shipment execution
- Ensuring documentation is received and handed over to operations
- Status reporting and updating clients on any changes
- Working closely with operations and commercial team
- Building rapport with client portfolio
- Attending client visits with sales staff and management as required
- International freight forwarding operation and/or customer service experience essential
- CargoWise preferred but not essential
- Computer literacy in MS Office – MS Word and MS Excel
- Excellent communication skills – written and oral
- Excellent customer service skills with proven relationship building skills
- Willingness to learn and contribute to team outcomes
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise and follow through
