Job Description

This established global freight forwarder located in Matraville is looking to add an experienced Cartage Coordinator to their established operations team. The position is centralised in Sydney and will be looking after cartage Australia wide with a particular focus on export operations, also with some cross over in customer service tasks.  To be considered for this role you should have any combination of operations, cartage and/or customer service experience in the international freight forwarding arena.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordination of import/export FCL and LCL cartage
  • Centralised role for AU based in Sydney
  • Interaction with Customs, AQIS, transport companies, depots, clients and internal departments
  • Ensuring all relevant documents are received for import and export shipments
  • Checking SCA, clearance status and payment of import declarations
  • Requesting/monitoring payment of COD invoices prior to delivery 
  • Providing reports on delivery outcomes
  • Updating information in the operating system
Role Requirements:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in international freight forwarding, in a transport-related capacity
  • Experience in Cargowise or similar operating software highly desirable
  • Drive to ensure department KPIs and SOPs are met and adhered to
  • Ability to prioritise and time manage
  • Ability to solve problems via a common-sense approach
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
  • Results driven and customer focused
