Operations / Customer Service Executive with ref.

Due to a sustained period of business growth, this Australian-owned freight forwarder located in Parramatta is seeking to recruit an Operations & Customer Service Executive to manage a portfolio of clients via end-to-end import (mostly) and export operations plus related customer service disciplines. You must have international freight forwarding operations and customer service experience in the local Australian market in order to be considered for this role.

Duties and responsibilities:

Job registration
Monitoring cargo availability and clearance status
Cargo automation
Organising and lodging underbond movements
Finalising invoices to clients, overseas offices and third parties
Monitoring movement of transhipment cargo
Collection and handover of delivery orders and EDO's
Cartage coordination
Purchase order management
Shipment status reporting
Collation and distribution of commercial documentation
Liaising with carriers, freight forwarders, overseas offices, customers, suppliers and internal staff

Role Requirements:

Freight forwarding operations experience essential
Cargowise experience highly desirable
Computer literacy in MS Office applications
Attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
Excellent communication skills - written and oral
Ability to prioritise, follow through and meet deadlines
Willingness to learn and contribute to team outcomes
Customer service focus
