Import Air Operations with ref. 3017236

Multi-national freight forwarder is currently seeking an experienced import air operations person to join their team and control the end-to-end processing of import air freight shipments. To be considered for this role you must have import air operations experience within the freight forwarding industry.

Duties & responsibilities include:

Job registration
Monitoring cargo availability and status
Coordinating airport retrieval to bond store
Cargo automation
Organising & lodging underbond movements
Finalising invoices to clients, overseas offices and third parties
Collection & handover of delivery orders
Following up of delayed or short landed freight
Pro-active in updating customers on the progress of their shipments
Liaising with airlines, freight forwarders, overseas offices, customers, suppliers and internal staff

To be successful in this role the following are required:

Import air operations experience within freight forwarding environment essential
Export air operations would be an advantage
CargoWise / ICS experience highly desired
Willingness to commit to weekend work roster - paid overtime
Computer literacy in MS Word and MS Excel
Attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
