Duties and responsibilities:
- Job registration
- Monitoring cargo availability and clearance status
- Cargo automation
- Organising and lodging underbond movements
- Finalising invoices to clients, overseas offices and third parties
- Monitoring movement of transhipment cargo
- Collection and handover of delivery orders and EDO's
- Cartage coordination
- Purchase order management
- Shipment status reporting
- Collation and distribution of commercial documentation
- Liaising with carriers, freight forwarders, overseas offices, customers, suppliers and internal staff
- Prior experience in freight forwarding import operations, customer services or combination role is essential.
- CargoWise & ICS experience highly desirable
- Computer literacy in MS Office applications with strong focus on excel.
- Attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
- Excellent communication skills - written and oral
- Ability to prioritise, follow through and meet deadlines
- Willingness to learn and contribute to team outcomes
- Customer service focus
