Job responsibilities & duties include:
- Receive documentation, register import documentation and report to customs
- Monitor shipment arrival and update client accordingly
- Pay import/carrier charges in line with container release
- Coordinator pick up of container from wharf
- Liaise with customers, international departments, overseas offices, shipping lines, freight forwarders, transport companies, customs and quarantine
- Prepare and create invoices
- Outturn reports and delivery documents sent to origin offices
- Exposure to import procedures
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail and organised
- Data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
