Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage multi-site logistics operation including fleet, maintenance, compliance and change
- Manage Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation obligations to ensure proactive compliance and effective risk mitigation
- Assist in development and implementation of business technology systems to provide analytical reporting to stakeholder expectations
- Recruit, manage and develop staff to ensure elevated output whilst promoting culture of competency, continuous improvement, accountability, safety and goal alignment
- Develop and implement policies, procedures and systems to ensure appropriate controls and compliance
- Full financial performance accountability including support on forecasting, budgeting and reporting
- Assist in new business proposals including tenders and business plan development
- Assist in development and implementation of strategic business plan
- Demonstrable senior management and leadership experience in the freight transport industry
- Experience in staff recruitment, management and development
- Competency in policy development and implementation
- Knowledge of technology system selection and implementation
- Excellent negotiation & interpersonal skills to ensure outcome delivery
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
- Professionalism, integrity and the ability to build long term relationships
- Commercial drive – ability and willingness to engage in business development, performance analysis and reporting initiatives
- Resilient and adaptable mindset with hands-on approach
